Magneto-mechanical Model for Hysteresis in Isotropic Soft Magnetic Material
In this article, a magneto-mechanical model is coupled with an energetic approach of hysteresis. The proposed modification of the parameter related to the coercive field can model the local enlargement of the hysteresis loop under compression. The proposed model is validated by comparison with measurement at different levels of stress.
متن کاملNumerical Characterization Model of Vector Hysteresis for Magnetic Materials
The paper presents a numerical method based on Preisach model for the characterization and modelling of hysteretic magnetic materials exhibiting vector hysteresis, with acceptable accuracy, based on minimal material measurement data. The identification approach based on the Everett distribution function is a way to obtain accurate numerical solutions when the experimental data of the magnetic m...
متن کاملA Stress-Dependent Hysteresis Model for Ferroelectric Materials
This paper addresses the development of homogenized energy models which characterize the ferroelastic switching mechanisms inherent to ferroelectric materials in a manner suitable for subsequent transducer and control design. In the first step of the development, we construct Helmholtz and Gibbs energy relations which quantify the potential and electrostatic energy associated with 90 and 180 di...
متن کاملA Temperature-Dependent Hysteresis Model for Relaxor Ferroelectric Compounds
This paper summarizes the development of a homogenized free energy model which characterizes the temperature-dependent hysteresis and constitutive nonlinearities inherent to relaxor ferroelectric materials. A kernel for the model is developed through mesoscopic energy analysis and extended to provide macroscopic constitutive relations through stochastic homogenization techniques based on the as...
متن کاملRheological hysteresis in soft glassy materials.
The nonlinear rheology of a soft glassy material is captured by its constitutive relation, shear stress versus shear rate, which is most generally obtained by sweeping up or down the shear rate over a finite temporal window. For a huge amount of complex fluids, the up and down sweeps do not superimpose and define a rheological hysteresis loop. By means of extensive rheometry coupled to time-res...
